The headline on the front page of a recent Branson area paper proclaimed last week “Trout Season opens today” Well.. I’ve got a news flash… trout season is open year round here on Lake Taneycomo. Now I know they were referring to the trout fishing parks, but as many of our faithful winter fishermen know.. Winter fishing is awesome. The warmer weather this past week has been a bonus……
Jig fishing continues to do well. We had a couple on Saturday that reported catching over 50 using white 1/32 jigs off the bottom, near the upper end, and olive/tan combination jigs in any size are working from the island down (even had one 4lb smallmouth caught this weekend) Lures are still doing well, Solid Gold little Cleos and silver Thomas spoons being the most popular.
Don’t forget to renew your fishing license before you go..and have a great day on the lake.

Hey yall we had a wonderful time up there last weekend cannot wait to get to come up again real soon . I think you have one of the best boat marinas that i have seen and you make it personable with all your help and country politeness.
