We’ve had quite the mix of weather this week… course that sounds more like a weather report than a fishing report. My point is, that the warm spring break days have been great, and the fishing has been 7 on a scale of one to 10. With colder weather and snow predicted for this weekend, there will be plenty of cloud cover to fish under.
This past week, Gulp seems to be working the best, on a bottom drift. Pink and Yellow is the best combination, followed by Orange and Yellow. Nightcrawlers are working well from Fall Creek down to past Cooper Creek. we even had a 17″ Brown Trout yesterday on a night crawler with one of our groups.
Lures that are working well, Thomas Bouyant in the Red Flash pattern or Copper. Little Cleo in the GNR pattern and the Rooster tail in White.
We’ve now got the Swimming Minnows in stock. With the White Bass run starting… be sure you stock up. When you’re in the shop look at our new ABU Garcia Stealth combo, a great little ultra light package with an IM8 Graphite rod and 8 ball bearings in the reel….
Come and see us soon.. and have a great day on the lake.
