Richard Eldon Milstead
Memorial services for Richard “Rich” Eldon Milstead, age 63 of Walnut Shade, Mo., will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2009 in Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson. Burial will be at a later date. He passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 in his home. He was born on June 28, 1946 in Plainview, Texas, the son of Eldon and Marie Miller Milstead. He had been a resident of the area for the past fifteen years. He was the former owner and operator of Scotty’s Trout Dock in Branson for 13 years. Survivors are his wife, Joni Fife Milstead of the home; six children, Steven Milstead, Lesa Albers, Cesar Guerra, Amanda Milstead, C. Heath Albers and Justin Albers-Milstead; one brother, two sisters, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Boys and Girls Club in Branson, Mo.

Thank you for posting this notice about Richard Milstead’s passing so that those of us living out of state can be brought up to date. Rich was one great Dock Master, always made customer’s feel welcome and he was always willing to share the “secrets” of catching fish here. The one thought of consolation is that he is no longer suffering any pain and for that I’m thankful. He has left many of us with great memories of our times spent fishing out of “Scotty’s”.
