We seemed to have the water calmed down from last weeks rain. We are currently running the equivelant of 4 generators, although there are still spillway gates being used so we have ample oxygen for the fish.
Fishing has been best from Short creek up, in my opinion. We’re hoping to see MDC get after the stocking this week, as they have yet to start on Octobers fish, because of scheduling and high water.
The leaves are looking great, and the weather is very nice.. so don’t forget to take some time to cruise the Taneycomo while in Branson. The resorts like Taneycomo Lakefront, Tanglewood, Bluehaven, Lakeshore Resort, Trout Hollow, Ozark Trout, Lilley’s Landing, Cooper Creek Resort and our Lakeside RV park are just brimming with people enjoying fall in the Ozarks
Have a great day on the lake

Wow, that new 20′ Jon boat with the 50hp Mercury outboard is a real fishing machine. This boat is extremely stable and a joy to fish in. Thanks for providing us a great fleet of rental boats to utilize.
Over the past several weeks, I too found the bite to be slow to say the least. But like you said, the changing of the fall colors is great to experience. I never get tired of this time of year. Last week, during high and rapid water, I was on my dock and noticed some un-familiar debris comming across the water. Here it turned out to be a 140 lb. Buck swimming with and across the current with only its head and rack out of the water. That alone was very cool to see. I watched it as it swam out of sight just across from your trout dock by the mouth of Turkey Creek. You never know what you will see on Tanneycomo as far as wild life goes. I only wish I had my camera to capture that moment. Looking forward to the fall and early winter fishing. After all, these gifts of mother nature should be enjoyed whenever possible. Have a great day on the water and be sure to release what you don`t have plans to enjoy eating.
