Empire informed us today, that after peak power on Saturday, they will begin to draw Lake Taneycomo down, to repair the boards on Powersite Dam. Empire expects to be able to work on Monday , and have the water back on Tuesday,  if all goes as planned. Estimated tailwater will be 696.50

The boards on the Powersite dam are used to maintain a safe lake level. In times of Heavy rains, there are often several boards removed to allow more water to flow out of Lake Taneycomo.
