Well Labor Day is upon us, and this traditionally signals the end of “Summer”. I’ve overheard some of my resort and boat friends on the other lake talk about how they are done by that weekend.
I’m so fortunate to have a Trout Dock/ Marina on Lake Taneycomo, so we can fish all year round. It may be the end of the swimming and the skiing, but to a Trout fisherman, give them September/October and they’ll be fine.
We’ve seen some good fish in the last 4 weeks… plenty of activity on all forms of bait and tackle.
Our top 5 are:
1. Night Crawlers
2. Thomas Red/Gold Spoon
3. Olive/Ginger 1/8oz Jig
4. Pink / Yellow Gulp
5 Orange / Yellow Gulp

Make sure you plan to come down, enjoy the cooler days and have a safe day on the lake
