There’s nothing better than a January day on Lake Taneycomo. MDC makes sure we have plenty of fish for the month, and I’ve seen some nice fish in the last week.. The picture you see is a friend of ours, David, and he had a blast Wed fishing. This is just a couple that he caught.. and he released them both after our picture … so that someone else will enjoy catching them.
We’re seeing lots of success on the old faithful Gold/Red Buoyant spoon, Crankbaits like Rapala Shad Raps and Trout Magnets when we have still water.
Worms are starting to pick up as well, and had several folks in this week , picking up some of our excellent minnows.
I understand January fishing is not for everyone, but if you can bundle up a little, and get down here.. I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
