Winter FIshing Fun

February 11th, 2012 by Lamar Patton

With and exceptionally mild winter, the fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent. Lures and Jigs working better in afternoons, when generation patterns are lighter. Olive/Tan, or Black/Brown are working the best, 1/8oz is what we’re doing the best on in the deeper water. Spoons are working well all day, you might want to use a 1/4oz when generation is heavy, and back to the 1/6oz when lighter. Powerbaits all day, on a 1/4 or 3/16th oz drift rig. If you have Orange, Pink, White and Yellow .. should cover the spectrum. We are also doing very well with the Gulp Bubble Gum Trout worms… stop by and get a pack to try if you never have… they are a blast to fish either wacky style or threaded up a hook. No matter what your choice, get to the lake, and get fishing… Come see us soon.

Hey Folks – Lamar nailed the “how-to” on our group fishing trip last week! For four years, we’ve followed his recommendations and caught fish the entire time we were on the water. Lamar always hooks us up with a great boat and the right gear! We have a great time. If you’re not using Scotty’s Trout Dock on the Taneycomo, you’re simply missing out!

Lamar – Thanks bud, for another great get-away. We’re planing our fifth year now!

    Hey Lamar,

Ya’ll listen. There are abunch of spots on the lake to get a boat but Scottys, man, is the one. Great boats ready to go and Lamar is all about giving you the info you need to catch fish and all day long. Trout are a blast this, is not Lake Fork, but a ton of fun and there are some big fish in there just ask Lamar he will help ya. This is a relaxing trip, if the catching did’nt get in the way. If you are headed to Branson give Lamar a call.
