Empire to draw down lake starting Saturday evening

Empire informed us today, that after peak power on Saturday, they will begin to draw Lake Taneycomo down, to repair the boards on Powersite Dam. Empire expects to be able to work on Monday , and have the water back on Tuesday, if all goes as planned. Estimated tailwater will be 696.50

Dredging to begin on Lake Taneycomo

Table Rock Asphalt has begun dredging operations to remove silt, from around the Lake Taneycomo Hwy 76 Bridge. I spoke with TRAC the other day, and this is a MODOT project. Thought everyone would like to see this pitcture of Aggregate Annie setting up this morning.

We seemed to have the water calmed down from last weeks rain. We are currently running the equivelant of 4 generators, although there are still spillway gates being used so we have ample oxygen for the fish.
